St. Louis Post Dispatch Editorial Calls for Increasing Climate Change Education in Schools

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch Editorial Board observed that growing numbers of teachers worry about discussing climate change because they don’t want to suffer the wrath of parents with baseless beliefs. Missouri public schools should not only require climate change in lesson plans, but also equip teachers with the resources to drive home the impact if humans don’t change their ways. The editorial provides a link to a Forbes report that notes that the world’s five largest publicly owned oil and gas companies spend about $200 million on lobbying designed to hinder binding climate-motivated policy.
