New York City’s ‘Green New Deal’ Model for Cities for Dealing with Climate Change

Groundbreaking climate legislation, recently passed by the city, includes the largest mandated pollution reduction in any city in the world.  The legislation will have global consequences for its impact on addressing climate change. It will also have local impacts. There will be health benefits and an expansion of jobs needed in order to handle the mandated retrofitting of New York’s tallest building.
